The RI8508A 6 GHz Digitally Modulated Signal Generator TIM has been discontinued and is no longer available for purchase. These models were first shipped in 2009 and last shipped in 2013.
As of January 2023, the RI8508A TIMs entered End-Of-Life status. Support will continue on a best-effort basis for repairs and replacements until existing spare parts are depleted.
The recommended replacement is the RI8508C 6 GHz Digitally Modulated Signal Generator TIM.

Support Options Going Forward
- Purchase new RI8508C TIM with long term support (Recommended).
- Purchase an annual support contract, guaranteeing ongoing support for the RI8508A through the contract term.
- Continue using the TIM without a support contract: Repairs will be attempted on a time-and-material basis while parts are available. If parts are unavailable, an exchange will be required.
